Couples sessions across upstate New York
You do not need an occasion. No ring, no announcement, no anniversary — plenty of the best sessions I shoot are just two people who wanted an evening that was theirs.
Every session gets built around how you two actually are together, not a template. Some are a slow hour in one place as the light goes.
Others are a proper drive, a change of clothes in the car, and a walk out to something worth the effort.
01. The Long Way Round
For the ones who want to make a night of it
A full evening with room to drive somewhere good, change once, and stay out until the light is properly gone.
Up to three hours
Two locations, or one worth the drive
Outfit and styling guidance beforehand
Full hand-edited gallery in three weeks
From $1,350
02. One Place, Properly
For the ones who would rather go deep than wide
One location, one stretch of light, and enough time to stop performing about twenty minutes in.
Ninety minutes
Somewhere close to home or close to Saratoga
Outfit guidance beforehand
From $575
Worth adding:
Extra time, booked upfront
Proposal coverage, planned quietly

Most of what makes a photograph worth keeping is not posed.
Anyone can make a nice frame. What I am watching for is smaller than that:
The ring you keep turning when you are thinking about something.
The jacket that has been in the back of the car for nine years.
The half second after a joke lands, before either of you says anything.
The way one of you checks where the other is without really looking.
None of that can be staged, and none of it shows up in the first ten minutes. It is the whole reason I book longer than most people expect.

This one is for the couples who overthink photos.
You want something worth framing, but the idea of being directed for two hours makes you want to lie down. That is a normal way to feel about it.
You probably:
Would rather be
doing something.
Hate the phrase “just act natural”.
Want it to look
like your life.
That is most of the people
I end up working with.

What actually happens on the day

Every session includes:
✦
A planning call before we lock anything in
✦
Location suggestions based on the month you are booking
✦
Direction that gives you something to do, not a pose to hold
✦
Hand editing, no batch presets and no skin smoothing
✦
A reply within a day, from me, start to finish
✦
Full-resolution gallery with a print release, yours to keep
A few words from couples who have done this:
“We had both agreed beforehand that we would hate it. About twenty minutes in we forgot he was there, and the photos from after that are the ones on our wall.”
— Bea & Callum

Pick an evening and let’s go somewhere.
Tell me roughly when you are thinking and whether you want to stay close or make a drive of it. I will tell you what the light is doing that month and what I would actually recommend.
