You do not need dates locked in or a location chosen. A month and a rough headcount is enough for me to be useful.

I get to spend most of my year outside with people who like each other. It is a strange job to be able to have.
I am not going to arrange you into shapes or hand you a shot list. My job is to set up a day where the good moments have room to happen, then be ready when they do.

Q1.
How far ahead should we book?
For a wedding or elopement, six to twelve months is typical, and autumn weekends go first. For couples and family sessions, three to four weeks is usually plenty. If you are working to a shorter timeline, ask anyway — I keep a few dates open each month.
Q2.
Do you travel outside upstate New York?
Yes, regularly. Anything within about three hours of Saratoga has no travel fee. Beyond that I will quote travel at cost, and I would rather do that than have you rule somewhere out before asking.
Q3.
We are not good in front of a camera.
Almost nobody is, and the ones who say they are usually look the stiffest. I direct lightly for the first twenty minutes so nobody is stranded, and by then most people have stopped thinking about it. That is when the good frames start.
Q4.
What happens if it rains?
We usually go anyway. Rain gives you texture, reflections and empty locations, and it is where a lot of my favourite work has come from. If it is genuinely unsafe we move the date, and there is no fee for that.
Q5.
When do we get the photos back?
A handful of previews within two days, then the full hand-edited gallery in three weeks. Weddings in peak season can run to four, and I will tell you which before you book rather than after.
Q6.
Can we print them ourselves?
Yes. Every gallery comes with a print release and full-resolution files. I will point you at a decent lab if you want one, but you are not tied to me for prints.
